Van Norden Campground is a great campground nearby; whitewater paddling is pleasant on Fordyce Creek. Very scenic scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Boreal, and West Lakes is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Lytton Lake gets a large amount of water; January is the month that gets the most rain while July is generally the driest month. During the months of summer here at Lytton       Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's while Lytton Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike along the Lola Montez Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; after a long                  day outdoors The Inn at Truckee is a splendid site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is magnificent here at Lytton Lake, you can go for a hike along the Painted Rock Trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Donner Ski Ranch. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Express TRUCKEE is a splendid location to get some rest, and Yuba River - South Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Warren Lake Trail, and if you get bored of Lytton Lake you could also stop by nearby Lake Angela. And that's not all you can do here at Lytton Lake. Crows Nest is easy to spot from Lytton Lake, and Sugar Bowl is a magnificent place to check out. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Castle Valley is a nice location to stop at nearby; a round of golf at nearby Tahoe Donner Golf Course is a glorious way to kill some time. That right there is lots already, but it continues; Lytton Lake has it all.
