Why not stop by Lyons Reservoir if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Stanislaus River - South Fork, and Sand Bar Flat Campground is a magnificent local campground. There are some great whitewater spots on Stanislaus River - Middle Fork; after a long day outdoors Sonora Days Inn is a splendid location to spend a night or two. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada.

| | enjoyable stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too glorious to be true. Why not camp at Sugarpine RV Park while you're here at Lyons Reservoir, and Twain Harte Golf Club is a splendid golf course close by. Bear Valley is a glorious local ski area. You completely must go for Lyons Reservoir. Lyons Reservoir is a place with many visitors from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge, and nearby you locate the Pilot Ridge Trail which is a glorious hiking trail.

A large amount of precipitation falls at Lyons Reservoir; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is July. Take a little spree to Lyons Creek since you're here at Lyons
Reservoir, and a pleasant spree to Rushing Meadow is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Man, is there heaps of exciting things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Dodge Ridge is close to Lyons
Reservoir, and a great close by hotel is Best Western Sonora Oaks.
High temperatures at Lyons Reservoir during the summertime months are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are regularly in
the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lyons Reservoir are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Robert Nichols Spring is always fun to check out, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Lakewood Park Lake.
