If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Klamath Mountains. A wonderful place to stop at in the neighborhood of Luther Lake is Ault Gulch, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Tanners Peak Trail. Looking for something in the vicinity of Luther Lake? Lois Lake is close at hand, and do pay a visit to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area while you're here       at Luther Lake. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. There are some fine whitewater spots on Salmon River - South Fork, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Garden Gulch Trail. An average amount of precipitation falls at Luther Lake; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here; July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You could also explore Cecil Lake since you're                  here at Luther Lake; it's nearby; Snipes' Villa is a great campground nearby. This lake is one of the great places here in the Klamath Mountains. These mountains rock, just check out all the exciting things to do in the Klamath Mountains. You should absolutely dedicate some time to Schoolhouse Flat while you're here at Luther Lake. Have a great hiking adventure along the Deacon Lee Trail, and Luther Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Shadow Creek Campground is a great place to camp nearby. At Luther Lake during the summertime highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's.
