Lukens Lake is a wet site that gets much rain; most of the rain falls during January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And that's not all you can do here at Lukens Lake. Don’t forget to go to Dark Hole while you're here at Lukens Lake, and soar down the rapids of Yosemite Creek in a kayak. So many entertaining things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not enough time. The Ahwahnee is a nice       place to get some rest; magnificent hiking is available along the Hetch Hetchy Trail. All through the warm months highs here at Lukens Lake reach the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. During the wintertime highs are generally in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Lukens Lake temperatures sink to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Tuolumne River; the Eagle Peak                  Trail offers hiking at its best. This place, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors entertaining things. Camping is available at Porcupine Flat Campground, and do visit Siesta Lake, it's a charming lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Lower River Campground if you're here at Lukens Lake, and Harden Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. There's perfect hiking along the Ten Lakes Trail, and if you have time, Yosemite National Park is a national park worth taking a look at. After a long day outdoors dnc -- Wawona Hotel is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two, and the slopes of Badger Pass are so inviting nobody can resist.
