    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lake Lucerne. Lake Lucerne is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Butano State Park is a tremendous place to camp nearby; if you need a place to stay Costanoa is a perfect choice. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Lake Lucerne highs are ordinarily in the 60's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows at Lake Lucerne through  
   the winter ordinarily plunge into the 40's. Near Lake Lucerne you discover good places like Spring Bridge Gulch, and a brilliant beach nearby is Arroyo De Los Frijoles Beach.
This lake is so wonderful. Visit Arroyo De Los Frijoles while you're here at Lake Lucerne; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Pescadero Creek. You truly have to have a thing about Lake Lucerne. Santa Cruz North / Costanoa KOA is a great local
 
               campground. Lakes are great; Bean Hollow Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Lake Lucerne. Take a hike on the Ano Nuevo Trail, and close by you find Bolsa Point.
You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Going for a hike along the Coyote Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and a day at Pebble Beach is time well spent. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Pescadero Creek Inn, and The Mesa is a delightful place.
The yearly rainfall here at Lake Lucerne is about average; the month with most of the rain is January, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Hiking along the Butano Ridge Loop Trail is pleasant fun; you're probably hooked on lakes, Reservoir de los Frijoles is one of those nearby.
