     But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Southern Cascade Range. A nice location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Lower Twin Lake is Pit River; you have to absolutely visit Gray Cliff during your stay. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lower Twin Lake a wet place; the month with most of the snow is January; July is when it's the driest. Having a tremendous time in the Southern Cascade Range is painless. The Heart Lake Twin Meadows  
   Trail offers hiking at its best, and from Lower Twin Lake you get a wonderful panorama of Crater Peak.
Be careful coming to Lower Twin Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lower Twin Lake; Chaos Crags Trail is a nice local trail. There's so much to do here at Lower Twin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bunchgrass Campground is a good place for that. There's fine hiking along the Bunchgrass Trail;
 
               you can stay the night at Cypress Campground. Lower Twin Lake is located in the Southern Cascade Range.
This lake is so wonderful. You're probably interested in lakes, Upper Twin Lake is one of those nearby; stopping by Lassen Volcanic National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Bailey Creek Cottages. Lakes are delightful; Everett Lake is a lake that's close to Lower Twin Lake. Thousand Lakes Valley is a gorgeous spot any time of year, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pit River.
Summertime at Lower Twin Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while Lower Twin Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's.

... Shasta Cascade area of Northern California. Fishing in the famous Hat Creek is only a few minutes away as is fly fishing in the Hat Creek trophy area and Baum Lake. Burney Falls and lake Britton are about 23 miles away.

A 4 1/2 star golf course is about 30 minutes in Fall River Mills. The north entrance of Lassen National Park is a short 20 minute drive and Subway Cave, a volcanic formed tube , is a 5 minute drive. Another attraction to this area is the Thousand Lake Wilderness area, hiking and beautiful scenery are part of the experience in this remote wilderness area. If you aren't up to all these activities you can just relax here in the park, watching the ducks in the lake and the fish jumping or fish for our trophy rainbow trout with barbless flies or barbless single hook spinners. Our lake Catherine is catch and release only.
