A good vista of pretty Jeff Davis Peak is available from Lower Sunset Lake; if you come at the right time of year, Carson River - East Fork offers some magnificent whitewater. The high level of rain makes Lower Sunset Lake a pretty wet place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month of the year is July. Sunset Lake, it's a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Meadow. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lower Sunset Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lower Blue Lake Campground.
This lake is so wonderful. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Charity Valley Trail, and Kirkwood is a fine local ski area. So much entertaining stuff to do at Lower Sunset Lake, so little time. Lots of people from Gardnerville
Ranchos come to Lower Sunset Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The slopes of Bear Valley are so inviting noone can resist, and if you're here you can take a hike along the
Burnside Lake Trail. So many entertaining things in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just remarkable. On a tremendous day at Lower Sunset Lake you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13, and you'll find a scenic lake called Summit Lake. Lower Sunset Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
