The scenery at Lower Salmon Lake Dam near Lower Salmon Lake is lovely, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not go to Lower Salmon Lake. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Lower Salmon Lake; through the month of January you get the most rain around here, and the driest       month of the year is July. There is a pleasant hiking trail next to Lower Salmon Lake called the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15. This lake is so wonderful. On a tremendous day at Lower Salmon Lake you can take a hike along the Deer Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Lower Salmon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Snag Lake Campground is a splendid place for that. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. That right                  there is a lot of exciting things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yuba River - North Fork, and a good spot like Church Meadows here at Lower Salmon Lake is too tremendous to miss. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Lavezzola Creek, and you can stay the night at Diablo Campground. Royal Gorge is a very popular ski area nearby, and of course Church Creek is a lovely stream that is worth a visit. At Lower Salmon Lake through the summer months highs are in the 90's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lower Salmon Lake. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to return back home again.
