If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Lower Lake. Lower Lake gets lots of water; December is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is July. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Lower Lake has it all. If the weather is glorious here at Lower Lake, you can go for a hike along the Ruth Hayfork Trail, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Eel River.

| | Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges. Don't forget to take a wonderful little visit to Pine Creek; a magnificent site to camp here at Lower Lake is Hickey Campground.
All through the summer at Lower Lake highs are usually in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the winter highs are regularly in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Lower Lake. You're | |

possibly keen on lakes, Upper Lake is one of those close by, and Eel River - North Fork has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by. Camping is available at Bailey Canyon Campground, and if you're here you can take a hike along
the Ben Arthur Trail.
Lower Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. This lake is so wonderful. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail, and on a pretty day you get a nice panorama of Moose Peak
from Lower Lake. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Coast Ranges is great! If you need a place to stay Best Western Humboldt House Inn is a fine choice.
