If you are in Trinity county it's always a good idea to stop by Lower Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lower Lake; Ben Arthur Trail is a good local trail, and the panorama of wonderful Moose Peak is nice. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges, too nice to be true. Pine Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Eel

| | River - North Fork. This lake is located in the wonderful Coast Ranges.
All year is a pleasant time in the Coast Ranges if you love the outdoors. Best Western Humboldt House Inn is a brilliant location to get some rest. Be careful coming to Lower Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Lower Lake is a magnificent site to visit for more than one day, Bailey Canyon Campground is a magnificent site to camp nearby, and Eel River is a pleasant whitewater | |

spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Lower Lake, you could also go to close by Lost Lake, and good hiking is available along the Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail.
A great deal of rainfall falls at Lower Lake;
December is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Lower Lake generally tend to be in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings
highs down to the 40's while Lower Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. Hickey Campground is a delightful local campground; the Ruth Hayfork Trail offers hiking at its best.
