Go for a hike on the Tanners Peak Trail; the sight of stunning Caribou Mountain is nice. At Lower Caribou Lake during the summer highs are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lower Caribou Lake sink into the 20's. Lower Caribou Lake is a good site of normal       rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Be careful coming to the Klamath Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Salmon River - South Fork, and Browns Meadow is right here at Lower Caribou Lake. Lower Caribou Lake is located in the Klamath Mountains. Having a great time at Lower Caribou Lake is painless. Big Flat Campground is a perfect                  campground nearby, and Snowslide Lake is a pleasant lake nearby. Lower Caribou Lake is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, Ripstein Campground is a perfect location to camp nearby, and going for a hike on the Deacon Lee Trail is always a splendid adventure. That right there is heaps of amusing things already but it goes on, the Klamath Mountains has it all. Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a good place close to Lower Caribou Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Trinity River - North Fork. Lakes?
