 | Ben Weston Beach is accessed primarily by boat because it is a 14mile strenuous hike from the nearest town (Avalon) on Catalina Island. You will not be ''sleeping in your car'' as the write-up above suggests. The nearest road access is gate accessed and a very expensive ($40 one way) taxi ride from Avalon. Beautiful beach YES, but don't expect to carry lawn chairs and a cooler to this one.... |

Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
