There are other places here than Lower Bohn Lake, for example Upper Bohn Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Bothe Napa Valley State Park is a great spot to camp. A good close by hotel is Calistoga Ranch, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cache Creek. The amount of precipitation that falls       at Lower Bohn Lake is close to the national average; January is when you get the most rain here while July is regularly the driest month. Man, is there a heap of entertaining stuff to do right next door to Lower Bohn Lake. If you want a little side trip, try Bohn Valley, and Solage is a splendid site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A good place for whitewater paddling near Lower Bohn Lake is Putah Creek; camping is available at Hidden Valley                  Lake Campground. Enjoy a round of golf at Aetna Springs Golf Course not far from Lower Bohn Lake; the summit of Goat Hill can be seen from Lower Bohn Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of people from Napa come to Lower Bohn Lake. The warmest time of the year at Lower Bohn Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's with night lows in the 50's.
