The high level of rainfall makes Lower Blue Lake a relatively wet spot; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and the driest month of the year is July. If you're visiting Lower Blue Lake from Gardnerville Ranchos, you won't be the only one, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Burnside Lake Trail. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra       Nevada. If you need a place to stay Pine Cone Acre Motel is a good choice, and going for a hike along the Charity Valley Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Looking for some flowing water? Try Middle Creek, and good skiing awaits you at Kirkwood. Be careful coming to Lower Blue Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. Camping is available at Lower Blue Lake Campground. Not far from Lower Blue Lake, you'll find Evergreen Lake                  which is a gorgeous lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Middle Creek Campground is a tremendous place to camp. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more amusing stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. An attention-grabbing thing to visit close to Lower Blue Lake is Summit Lake Dam, and if the weather is pretty, you get a fine sight of The Nipple from Lower Blue Lake. Lower Blue Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Lower Blue Lake. Paddling on Mokelumne River - North Fork is so much fun, and dry warm beds await you at Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley. This lake is so wonderful. Don’t forget to stop by Border Ruffian Flat if you're here at Lower Blue Lake, and float down the rapids of Carson River - East Fork in a kayak. For the period of the warm days of summer at Lower Blue Lake highs are mostly in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lower Blue Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
