If you come at the right time of year, American River - South Fork offers some delightful whitewater; why not camp at Caples Lake Campground if you're here at Lower Beebe Lake. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too great to be true. If you're here at Lower Beebe Lake, you could check out Grouse Creek, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along       the Charity Valley Trail. High temperatures at Lower Beebe Lake through the long summer days are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. During the wintertime highs are frequently in the 30's; night lows through the wintertime for Lower Beebe Lake tend to be in the 10's.
