Masterson Meadow is a glorious site here at Lost Lake, and Grouse Creek Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. Not much rainfall falls here at Lost Lake; most of the rain falls during December, and the driest of the months is July. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites Weed, and Kangaroo Lake Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. | | hike on the Echo Lake Trail. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Trinity River, and there's delightful hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 18. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. While you're here at Lost Lake, you could also visit picturesque Masterson Meadow Lake; wonderful hiking is available along the Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail. some rest, and getting to Little Trinity River from Lost Lake is trouble-free. For the duration of the summer months, highs generally are in the 90's at Lost Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. For the period
of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and night lows at Lost Lake during the wintertime mostly fall into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid place for whitewater paddling close to Lost Lake is Trinity River - East Fork.

 | 17 miles away Roundtrip Distance 15.2 miles Elevation Gain 2,232 ft. This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking.
