     You simply ought to go for Lost Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Eel River, and close by you locate the Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail which is a great hiking trail. High temperatures at Lost Lake through the warm months are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Lost Lake.
 
   This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Ben Arthur Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and you'll hit upon a beautiful lake called Dry Lake. A great nearby hotel is Best Western Humboldt House Inn, and a stunning lake like Turtle Lake is a nice place to stop at. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Fir Cove Campground, and you can distinguish Lake Mountain from Lost Lake.

               places to look at along the Ruth Hayfork Trail. Lost Lake is a beautiful lake in the Coast Ranges. All year is a great time in the Coast Ranges if you like the outdoors. Camping at Bailey Canyon Campground is always a perfect experience, and Rice Lake is an out of the ordinary swamp near Lost Lake.
So much fun stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges, too great to be true. There's whitewater on Eel River - North Fork for all you adrenaline people, and Indian Springs is a delightful site to stop at while you're at Lost Lake. The high level of rainfall makes Lost Lake a pretty wet spot; December is the wettest month with most rain; July meanwhile is the driest month.
