Lost Lake is typically a relatively dried out site; most of the rain falls throughout January; June meanwhile is the driest month. Not far from Lost Lake, you'll stumble on Sherwin Lakes which is a wonderful lake. There's so much to do here at Lost Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cold Water Campground is a brilliant place for that. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Mono Creek, and hiking along the Mammoth Rock Trail is good fun. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Mammoth Mountain is one of those things you just ought to do, and do take a hike on the Sherwin Lakes Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on San Joaquin River - South Fork for all you adrenaline kick people, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at June Mountain.
