    Lost Lake is a lake worth visiting. Lost Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Cold Water Campground is a good local campground, and if you need a spot to stay Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a great choice. Throughout the summertime at Lost Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's while  
   Lost Lake nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay McGee Creek RV Park and Campground is a perfect spot to camp; whitewater paddling is pleasant on Mono Creek. At Lost Lake you don’t see much rain; most of the rain falls through January, and the driest of the months is June. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada.                local ski area, and if time allows, Devils Postpile National Monument is a national park worth checking out.
If you're here at Lost Lake and you like golf, you can pop by Snowcreek Golf Course; the Mammoth Rock Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of June Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. Lakes? Sure, Pika Lake is nearby. So much fun stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada, just remarkable. Get drenched paddling on San Joaquin River - South Fork; Cloverleaf Lake is a tremendous lake nearby.
Lost Lake is right by the John Muir Trail - section 2. Dry warm beds await you at Mammoth Creek Inn, and there's wonderful hiking along the Sherwin Lakes Trail.
