Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Central Sierra Nevada is peerless! Put some time aside to spend at Iron Spring while you're here at Lost Lake, and Illilouette Gorge is a tremendous site to spend some time. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Badger Pass since you're here, and a good nearby hotel is The Ahwahnee. Having a perfect time in the Central Sierra Nevada is easy.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors

dnc -- Wawona Hotel is a glorious location to spend a night or two; Yosemite National Park is a good location nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at North Pines Campground is always a pleasant experience, and while you're here, you could stop by Illilouette Creek. Now, you may imagine that's lots but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Lost Lake. Paddling on Tenaya Creek is so much fun; going for a hike on the Clouds Rest Trail is always a brilliant
               adventure.
The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Central Sierra Nevada has to offer. If you came to camp Upper Pines Campground is a great site to do that. Lakes are great; Emerald Pool is a lake that's close to Lost Lake. Lost Lake generally gets a great deal of rainfall; January is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Mirror Lake, and there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the Half Dome Trail. Soar down the rapids of Yosemite Creek in a kayak, and the Mist Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. For the duration of the warm months highs here at Lost Lake get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Lost Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. If you're into cool geologic marks, try Diving Board; a perfect vista of stunning Ahwiyah Point is available.
