Reds Meadow Campground is a fine campground nearby; if you've had enough of Lost Lake, Emily Lake is nearby. And that's not everything you can do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Hiking along the Sherwin Lakes Trail is nice fun, and a glorious close by hotel is Mammoth Mountain Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Minaret Falls Campground is a great local campground, and Mono Creek is a great whitewater spot nearby. Just can't get enough of the Central Sierra

on the Mammoth Rock Trail. After a long day outdoors Heidelberg Inn is a perfect location to spend a night or two, and why not take a refreshing hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2. Lost Lake is located in the Central Sierra
