Beautiful Lost Lake has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Mill Creek Lakes is close at hand, and a pleasant tour to Red Cap Hole is a perfect way to spend an afternoon. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Blacks Lake, and don't leave Lost Lake without first going for a hike along the Salmon Summit Recreation Trail. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful.
Lost Lake is a splendid place to

visit for more than one day, Shivshaneen Co is a splendid place to camp nearby; you can go for a hike on the Horse Ridge National Scenic Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Salmon River; lots of folks from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna come here. Be careful coming to the Coast Ranges, you might not ever want to go back home again. There's whitewater on Klamath River for
               all you adrenaline rush seekers.
Through the summertime months at Lost Lake temperatures are typically in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Lost Lake temperatures drop to the 30's.
