You'll find a pretty lake called Blacks Lake near Lost Lake; Red Cap Hole is a delightful site any time of year. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Lost Lake. During your tour to Lost Lake you'll meet some people from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna for sure, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Klamath River. The top of North Trinity Mountain is easily observed from Lost Lake; you can stay the night at Pearch

| | Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lost Lake is a magnificent site to visit for more than one day, Shivshaneen Co is a magnificent site to camp nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers some good whitewater. You definitely must fancy the Coast Ranges. Do visit Mill Creek Lakes in the vicinity of Lost Lake, it's a striking lake, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Salmon Summit Recreation Trail. The Coast | |

Ranges scenery is always beautiful. Man, is there heaps of fun stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. The Horse Ridge National Scenic Trail is a good hiking trail close to Lost Lake. Lost Lake is a wet location that gets lots of precipitation;
during December this area sees the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Summertime at Lost Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's with night lows in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's; night lows at Lost Lake through the winter usually dip into the 30's.
