     So much cool stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. Lost Lake is a fine site to visit for more than one day, Meeks Bay Resort & Marina is a fine site to camp nearby, and possibly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Lily Lake is just a very short distance away. Lost Lake is a good location of typical rain; most of the snow falls through January; the driest month is July. Spend the day on the beach at Calawee Cove Beach while you're  
   here at Lost Lake, and in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork.
This place, the Northern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors cool things. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lost Lake has to offer, you can camp at General Creek Campground, needless to say you could also take a look at Duck Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. High temperatures at Lost Lake through
 
               the summer are in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows during the winter for Lost Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
This place, Lost Lake, it just has so much outdoors cool stuff. During your stay at Lost Lake do explore nearby Lester Beach, and the snow is tremendous at Alpine Meadows. American River - South Fork is a great whitewater spot in the vicinity of Lost Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14. This lake is so wonderful. Granlibakken Lodge and Conference Center is a great place to get some rest, and do take a hike on the Highland Trail.
But wait, there's more to do near Lost Lake. The General Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn Tahoe City/Lake Tahoe. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Homewood, and Lost Corner Mountain is a peak you can see from Lost Lake.
