a bad day of skiing at nearby Kirkwood. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna go home again. Lost Lake is not far at all from Gardnerville Ranchos, and a day at Kiva Beach is time well spent.
From a precipitation point of view Lost Lake is a quite common spot; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month of the year is July. Pistantes Coyote Den is a good place
to get some rest, and there are some great whitewater spots on American River - South Fork. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lost Lake. Summer overnight
lows descend down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lost Lake. That right there is a lot of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada
has it all. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Sierra at Tahoe, and if you need a location to stay Pine Cone Acre Motel is a glorious choice. If you love the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Lost Lake. Going for a hike on
the General Creek Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and beaches are glorious and Baldwin Beach is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Cathedral Peak is an attention-grabbing thing to catch a glimpse of while you're here at Lost Lake; Glen Alpine Spring is an inspiring location to check out while you're here.
