     All the outdoors fun stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back persistently. Going for a hike along the Emigrant Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and if you come at the right time of year, Mokelumne River - North Fork offers some tremendous whitewater. If the weather is tremendous here at Lost Lake, you can go for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13, and drift down the rapids of Stanislaus River  
   - Middle Fork in a kayak. The Charity Valley Trail is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Lost Lake; there are other places here than Lost Lake, for example Sword Lake.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. There's so much to do here at Lost Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Niagra Campground is a good place for that, and you can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Dodge Ridge. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid
 
               close by hotel is The Mountain Club, and skiing at Bear Valley is one of those things you just must do. Lost Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Silver Valley Campground is a splendid site to do that, and at Lost Lake you always meet someone from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Lost Lake has it all. After a long day outdoors The Meadow is a great site to spend a night or two, and Twin Meadows Lake is a nice lake nearby.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Lost Lake a wet spot; January is the month that gets the most snow while July is commonly the driest month. All through the days of summer at Lost Lake temperatures are typically in the 60's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lost Lake are in the 10's.
