I heard from friends who fished there twice, a long time ago  that the fishing was fantastic. It was a real steep climb to the lakes though.

     Lost Keys Lakes is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. Devils Top is clearly visible from Lost Keys Lakes; paddling on San Joaquin River - South Fork is so much fun. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do near Lost Keys Lakes. A journey to Devils Postpile National Monument is worthwhile.
Mono Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and Cold Water Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Bigwood is a
 
   delightful spot to get some rest; going for a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 2 is always a fine adventure. This lake is so wonderful. There is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lost Keys Lakes called the Sherwin Lakes Trail; you're probably hooked on lakes, Scoop Lake is one of those close by.
If only every site had this much outdoors cool things, what a great earth it would be. Lost Keys Lakes is a good spot to visit for more than one day,
 
               Reds Meadow Campground is a good spot to camp nearby, and Iva Bell Hot Springs is an inspiring place to check out during your stay. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Lost Keys Lakes get into the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Lost Keys Lakes. While staying at Lost Keys Lakes you could always discover Cascade Valley, and a pleasant close by hotel is Snowcreek Resort.
But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. The skiing at June Mountain is magnificent, and if you've had enough of Lost Keys Lakes, Bench Lakes is close by. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. The Mammoth Rock Trail is a great hiking trail near Lost Keys Lakes, and a day on the slopes of Mammoth Mountain is just what you need. Lost Keys Lakes is typically a pretty dehydrated location; the month with most of the rain is January while June is frequently the driest month.
