If you love the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Lopez Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Lopez Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Oceano Dunes Svra is a nice site for that. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from San Luis Obispo-Paso Robles here; the Hi Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is one of the great places here in the Santa Lucia Range.       At Lopez Reservoir you don’t see much precipitation; January is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is June. If you came to camp Pismo Sands RV Park is a splendid place to do that, and Lopez Reservoir is right by the Fernandez Trail. A great close by hotel is Best Western Casa Grande Inn, and close by Bee Canyon is a tremendous place to go. During the warm days of summer here at Lopez Reservoir, high temperatures commonly get                  into the 60's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Lopez Reservoir tend to be in the 40's. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Santa Lucia Range.
