If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. Put some time aside to spend at Mineral Springs if you're here at Loon Lake, and whitewater paddling is good on American River - South Fork. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is plentiful here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.       Going for a hike on the Poison Hole Trail is always a glorious adventure, and Ellis Creek is right next door to Loon Lake and is always a bliss to explore. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Loon Lake is peerless!. This lake is so wonderful. Squaw Valley Lodge is a delightful place to get some rest, and you can stay the night at Wentworth Springs Campground. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. Loon Lake is a quite wet place                  frequently with lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is January, and July is the month with the least moisture. Go for a hike on the McKinstry Trail, and if you've had enough of Loon Lake, Berts Lake is close by. Summer at Loon Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the overnight is a tad chillier of course, regularly in the 40's. Highs all through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Loon Lake are in the 20's. Dry warm beds await you at Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Loon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pleasant Boat-In Campground. This lake is so wonderful.
