Long Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Deadman Campground is a splendid campground here, and a brilliant site like Spring Meadow here at Long Lake is too tremendous to miss. All the outdoors exciting stuff close to Long Lake will keep you coming back many times. Stay the night at Baker Campground, and Long Lake Dam is not far at all from Long Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada.

After a long day outdoors Best Value Yosemite Westgate Lodge is a good place to spend a night or two, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Long Lake; Early Emigrant and Indian Trail is a great local trail. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. Soar down the rapids of Stanislaus River - Middle Fork in a kayak. This location, the
Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cherry Creek - West Fork, and there's tremendous hiking along the Silver King Trail. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Long Lake
highs are ordinarily in the 60's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Long Lake are in the 10's.
