If you are in Placer county it's always a good idea to stop by Long Lake. For the duration of the summer at Long Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are usually in the 40's, and overnight lows at Long Lake during the winter usually dip into the 20's. Long Lake mostly gets a large amount of precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain while July is usually the driest

Long Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The Lola Montez Trail offers hiking at its best, and Long Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Cold Springs Campground is a great spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Boreal is nice; if you need a spot to stay Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a perfect choice.
So many enjoyable things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too fine to be true. | |

In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yuba River - South Fork, needless to say you could also visit Nancy Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Fordyce Creek
has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby; a day on the slopes of Soda Springs is just what you need. So many amusing things near Long Lake, completely unbelievable. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Truckee, Ca is
a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Long Lake has to offer, you can camp at Van Norden Campground.
Man, is there a heap of fun stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
A lake nearby is Huntley Mill Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Long Lake; Heath Falls Overlook Trail is a tremendous local trail. From Long Lake you get a pleasant panorama of Devils Peak, and there's splendid hiking along the Long Valley Trail.
