After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express TRUCKEE is a good place to spend a night or two, and Soda Springs has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff. Long Lake is a wet spot that gets lots of rain; most of the rain falls during January; July on the other hand is the driest. All through the summer months at Long Lake temperatures are regularly in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down       into the 50's. All through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Long Lake. If you need a spot to stay Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a great choice, and the Heath Falls Overlook Trail offers hiking at its best. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Long Lake. Stay the night at Cold Springs Campground, naturally you could also pop by Cascade Lakes if you're here; it's not far at all. Just can't                  get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. Boreal is a very popular ski area around here, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Fordyce Creek. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. One of the main characteristics of the surroundings of Long Lake is Devils Peak, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Lola Montez Trail. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Looking for something close to Long Lake? Kidd Lake is around here. There's so much to do here at Long Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Van Norden Campground is a perfect place for that.
