Beautiful Long Lake has much to offer visitors. High temperatures at Long Lake during the days of summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Long Lake. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Long Lake. Squaw Valley Lodge is a splendid place to get some rest, and the best way to spend a winter

| | day is on the slopes of close by Alpine Meadows. Long Lake is right by the McKinstry Trail, and Long Lake is a brilliant place to camp, Pleasant Boat-In Campground is a brilliant place.
At Long Lake you can see Devils Peak. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Long Lake has to offer, you can camp at Wentworth Springs Campground It's always good to visit Rubicon Springs. Long Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada.

get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. Take a hike on the Highland Trail, and a magnificent place for whitewater paddling is American River - South Fork. And if that's not enough there's a heap more fun things to do in the Northern
Sierra Nevada. Lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Fawn Lake right next door to Long Lake, and if you need a location to stay Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Homewood
and strap some skis to your feet, and you can run the rapids of Silver Creek - South Fork.
Lots of rainfall falls at Long Lake; most of the rain falls all through January, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
Have a great hiking adventure along the Loon Lake Trail, and of course Miller Creek flows through this area.
