So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too wonderful to be true. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Long Lake called the Bowman Mountain Trail; at Long Lake you can spot Fall Creek Mountain. Long Lake is a beautiful       lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. All year is a pleasant time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you have a thing about the outdoors. Skiing at Royal Gorge is one of those things you just ought to do, and a pretty lake like Round Lake is a great location to pop by. Dry warm beds await you at Deer Creek Inn, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Crooked Lakes Trail. So much exciting stuff to do at Long Lake, so little time. You can never                  get enough of the tremendous skiing at Soda Springs, and why not camp at Carr-Feeley Campground while you're here at Long Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Fordyce Creek is a nice whitewater spot close to Long Lake, and a fine place to camp here at Long Lake is Grouse Ridge Campground. This lake is so wonderful. The Round Lake Trail is a wonderful hiking trail in the vicinity of Long Lake, and do stop by Island Lake, it's a picturesque lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Long Lake a wet spot; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily January, that's the one that rains the most while July is ordinarily the driest month. Summertime at Long Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 40's.
