California has many beautiful lakes and Long Lake is one of them. It is very arid here at Long Lake ordinarily; during the month of January you get the most rain around here while October is typically the driest month. A journey to Big Cottonwood Meadows rejuvenates the soul; Best Western Frontier Motel is a fine location to get some rest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Sierra Nevada.

You'll need more than a day to discover everything Long Lake has to offer, you can camp at Locust Grove Campground; Cirque Peak is clearly visible from Long Lake. Be careful coming to Long Lake,
you might not ever want to go back home again. Nearby lakes? Sure, Chicken Spring Lake is near Long Lake; Army Pass is absolutely a pleasant site to go to. At Long Lake during the warm months highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is
down it dips down to the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's, and night lows in the 20's for Long Lake.
