If you need a location to stay Mammoth Lakes Travelodge is a pleasant choice, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Long Lake; Mammoth Rock Trail is a great local trail. Long Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Mono Creek, and scenic scenery and glorious skiing is what you acquire at Mammoth Mountain. This place, the Central Sierra       Nevada, has so much outdoors exciting things. Here at Long Lake you can catch a glimpse of Mount Abbot, and camping at Mosquito Flat Campground is always a perfect experience. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Long Lake while overnight lows are usually in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 40's; nighttime lows at Long Lake through the winter frequently sink into the 20's. There's perfect hiking along the Sherwin Lakes Trail;                  Little Lakes is a nearby lake that you could pop by. So many amusing things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Devils Postpile National Monument is a tremendous local destination here at Long Lake, and Mosquito Flat is a good spot here at Long Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Joaquin River - South Fork, and Mono Pass is also a perfect place to explore. Long Lake is a location that is relatively dehydrated usually; through the month of January you get the most rain around here; the driest month is June. Mammoth Creek Inn is a great site to get some rest. So much cool stuff to do here at Long Lake, too nice to be true.
