You completely must adore the Central Sierra Nevada. Don't miss out on a trip to Devils Postpile National Monument while you're here at Long Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Bishop-Days Inn, and a great sight of charming Chocolate Peak is available. Be careful coming to Long Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. Camping at Long Lake is delightful fun, Aspen Meadow Campground is a delightful local campground,       and don't leave Long Lake without first going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm sites, why not take a look at Bishop Lake near Long Lake; get your pulse rate up on the nice whitewater of Kings River - Middle Fork. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Long Lake is in close proximity to Bishop Pass which is positively worth checking                  out, and why not camp at Willow Campground while you're here at Long Lake. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Around Long Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain; June meanwhile is the driest month. High temperatures at Long Lake through the warm months are in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Long Lake plunge into the 20's.
