So many fun things in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just astonishing. A pleasant spree to Munson Meadow is a good way to spend an afternoon; Plasse's Resort is a magnificent local campground. Summertime highs at Long Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 40's. All through the winter the highs are regularly in the 30's, and overnight lows at       Long Lake all through the winter frequently descend into the 10's. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike on the Emigrant Trail is always a great adventure, and a day on the slopes of Bear Valley is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Charity Valley Trail, and Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley is a wonderful spot to get some rest. A pretty lake like Black Rock                  Lake right next door to Long Lake is a perfect site to have a look at; whitewater paddling is fine on Mokelumne River - North Fork. LDS Camp Ritchie is a glorious campground nearby, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Kirkwood is relatively near. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous nearby hotel is Pine Cone Acre Motel, and lakes are such calm sites, why not pop by Cole Creek Lakes. Long Lake is a reasonably wet place usually with a large amount of rain; January is the month that gets the most snow; July meanwhile is the driest month. Just can't get enough of Long Lake. Go for a hike on the Hawley Grade Trail, and get wet paddling on American River - South Fork.
