Long Lake is always a pleasure to visit. All the water falling down from the sky makes Long Lake a wet spot; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. Very gorgeous scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Kirkwood, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Hawley Grade Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Mokelumne River - North Fork has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by,

| | and whitewater paddling is tremendous on American River - South Fork.
Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada rules! A lake close by is Lower Beebe Lake, and if you need a location to stay Pine Cone Acre Motel is a great choice. LDS Camp Ritchie is a tremendous local campground; since you're here you can take a hike along the Emigrant Trail. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. is a delightful place to get some rest; if you get bored of Long Lake you could also stop by nearby Beebe Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Bear Valley, and a visit to Munson Meadow revitalizes
the spirit. Long Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. For the duration of the summer months at Long Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's.
Throughout the winter highs are typically in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Long Lake.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun things the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. If you came for an overnight
stay Plasse's Resort is a fine location to camp, and there is a wonderful hiking trail nearby called the Charity Valley Trail.
