Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. Soar down the rapids of Yuba River - South Fork in a kayak, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Royal Gorge is relatively near. Going for a hike on the Crooked Lakes Trail is always a fine adventure, and Deer Creek Inn is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. The vista of picturesque Brady Mountain near Loney Lake is magnificent; the Grouse Ridge Trail is a good hiking trail nearby.

| | Loney Lake mostly gets a great deal of precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. There is a glorious hiking trail right next door to Loney Lake called the Glacier Lakes Trail, and Sanford Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. And that's not everything you can do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Camping is available at Grouse Ridge Campground; dry warm beds await | |

Campground since you're here at Loney Lake. The skiing at Soda Springs is glorious, and a pleasant spree to Pierce Meadow is a good way to spend an afternoon. While you're here at Loney Lake, you could also stop at wonderful Downey
Lake, and folks from Truckee-Grass Valley love to come here. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Loney Lake while night lows are frequently in the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in
the 40's while Loney Lake overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 20's. What a place this is for outdoors people. Why not explore close by Granite Creek if you're here at Loney Lake.
