These mountains rock, just check out all the cool things to do in the Southern Sierra Nevada. A tremendous place like Bighorn Park here at Lone Pine Lake is too magnificent to miss; you can run the rapids of Kern River. This lake is so wonderful. Lone Pine Lake is near Whitney Portal which is definitely worth taking a look at, and you get a fine vista of Mount Irvine from here. Go for a hike on the Pat Keyes Trail, and camping at Symmes Creek Campground

| | is always a delightful experience. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Southern Sierra Nevada. Lone Pine Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Tuttle Creek Campground is a great local campground, and don't forget to take a glorious little visit to North Fork Lone Pine Creek. Lone Pine Lake gets very little rainfall; January is the month that gets the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. | |

This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Mount Whitney Trail is always a great adventure, and Best Western Frontier Motel is a pleasant site to get some rest. The Southern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. So much
cool stuff near Lone Pine Lake, simply mind-blowing. You could also stop at Camp Lake if you're here at Lone Pine Lake; it's nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Lone Pine. Looking for something in close proximity
to Lone Pine Lake? Grass Lake is in close proximity; Lone Pine Lake is a site with many visitors from Bishop. Throughout the long summer days, highs typically are in the 90's at Lone Pine Lake; the night is somewhat cooler of course,
generally in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Lone Pine Lake temperatures dip to the 20's.
