Lone Pine Lake is a nice lake to visit. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Southern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back many times. Nearby lakes? Sure, Camp Lake is next to Lone Pine Lake; in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kern River. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the area close to Lone Pine Lake has to offer. Camping is available at Tuttle Creek Campground, and why not take

| | a refreshing hike along the Mount Whitney Trail. Lone Pine Lake gets very little rain; the month with most of the rain is January, and October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
