    A visit to Lake of the Lone Indian is always a good idea. Lake of the Lone Indian is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. But wait, there's more to do next to Lake of the Lone Indian. It is very dry here at Lake of the Lone Indian frequently; most of the rain falls during January, and the driest month is June. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Central Sierra Nevada. There's so much to do here at Lake of the Lone Indian that you need to camp here for a while, Upper Vermillion Campground is a splendid site for that, and dry warm beds await
 
               you at Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada. At Lake of the Lone Indian through the months of summer highs are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Lake of the Lone Indian dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights.
A wonderful site to stop at in the vicinity of Lake of the Lone Indian is Goodale Pass. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for a splendid visit? Devils Postpile National Monument is rather in the neighborhood of Lake of the Lone Indian, and the skiing at June Mountain is nice. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend San Joaquin River - South Fork, and if you came to camp Vermilion Campground is a brilliant location to do that.
Feather Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and everyone loves Tully Hole. That right there is heaps of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all. If you come at the right time of year, Mono Creek offers some delightful whitewater, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mammoth Mountain is pretty near.
