Salmon River - South Fork is a magnificent whitewater spot in the vicinity of Lois Lake; Grizzly Meadows is a pretty site any time of year. This lake is one of the great places here in the Klamath Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something close to Lois Lake? Papoose Lake is close by, and great hiking is available along the Tanners Peak Trail. This lake       is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lois Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hobo Gulch Campground, and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a splendid national park. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Trinity River - North Fork, and don't leave Lois Lake without first going for a hike along the Deacon Lee Trail. From a                  rain point of view Lois Lake is a rather common location; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain while July is commonly the driest month. Yeah, come up here to the Klamath Mountains for a splendid time. Lois Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Ripstein Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and Caesar Peak is a peak you can distinguish from Lois Lake. For the period of the summer months at Lois Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Lois Lake sink into the 20's.
