What would winter be without some skiing at Mount Shasta, and why not camp at Trailer Lane RV Park while you're here at Log Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail is always a perfect adventure. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Sacramento River next to Log Pond; if you're here, you could also stop at delightful Summit Lake. Dwight Hammond       Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop by; there's whitewater on Sacramento River for all you thrill seekers. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! Log Pond is excellent! Go for a hike on the Echo Lake Trail, and enjoy a round of golf at Weed Golf Club. There are good locations to explore along the Castle Lake Trail, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Central is a good choice. A wonderful spot to camp here at Log Pond is Hi-lo                  Motel and RV Park, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express WEED (MOUNT SHASTA AREA). Summertime at Log Pond comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are commonly in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Log Pond descend into the 20's.
