A perfect location to camp here at Loch Leven Lakes is Sterling Lake Campground, and hey, Gotta ski right? Soda Springs is a good place to do that. A wonderful nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Truckee, Ca; in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fordyce Creek. This place, the Northern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors fun       things. A lake close by is High Loch Leven Lake, and folks from Truckee-Grass Valley love to come here. After a long day outdoors Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a good site to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Loch Leven Lakes typically tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. All through the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Loch Leven Lakes. Loch Leven Lakes is a relatively wet place frequently                  with a great deal of rain; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. You can make out Cherry Point from Loch Leven Lakes; you can go for a hike on the Loch Leven Trail. Loch Leven Lakes is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Royal Gorge, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Loch Leven Lakes; Salmon Lake Trail is a tremendous local trail. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
