    In California there are many beautiful lakes, Littlefield Reservoir is one of them. Littlefield Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Having a great time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is trouble-free. A short journey to Dutch Pete Spring is always worthwhile, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Central is a perfect place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. At Littlefield Reservoir you can catch a sight of North  
   Table Mountain, and you can stay the night at Feather West Travel Trailer.
This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Littlefield Reservoir, you could also have a look at close by Tom Jones Reservoir, and you could always explore Spring Valley Gulch. Just can't get enough of Littlefield Reservoir. Kelly Ridge Golf Course is a golf course near Littlefield Reservoir, and dry warm beds await you at Oroville-Days Inn. Littlefield Reservoir gets a normal
 
               amount of rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain while July is frequently the driest month.
But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. At Littlefield Reservoir you always meet someone from Chico, and Littlefield Reservoir is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Goat Ranch Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby. If you come at the right time of year, Butte Creek offers some delightful whitewater, and a lake nearby is Morgan Reservoir.
Drift down the rapids of Feather River - North Fork in a kayak, and Campbell Flat is a great place here at Littlefield Reservoir. High temperatures at Littlefield Reservoir throughout the warm days of summer are in the 90's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Littlefield Reservoir during the winter frequently sink into the 30's.

...reat though and easy to get to. As for Horseshoe Lake itself, it's very small, with poor fishing. It has a small dock, an indoor gun range, a humble yet awesome space observatory, and the golf course running behind all of it. Also bathrooms,  parking, water, dog poop bags, line recyclers. On the Lake's side of the road, it is legal to have your dog off-leash as long as he is 'under control'. Local dogs love it here and they all seem very friendly. The real beauty is the surrounding area of Bidwell Park. The trails going from there into Upper Park, run along both sides of the creek, and make for a very easy walk. There's fantastic scenery as you get closer to Salmon Hole, a very popular swimming spot, but the ''climb'' down to those calm waters amid the turbulent creek is a little steep for children and less sure footed people. Stick along the edge of the canyon as it gradually rises and you'll be treated to a nice sunset over the way you just came, with the winding canyon and it's white waters.
