Alpine Meadows has delightful slopes and a friendly staff, and if you need a site to stay Squaw Valley Lodge is a good choice. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada.       There are perfect spots to discover along the Five Lakes Creek Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Talbot Campground is a glorious place to camp. At Little Needle Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Little Needle Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.                  The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Go for a hike on the Big Spring Trail; a picturesque lake like Needle Lake is a good location to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Little Needle Lake without first going for a hike along the Painted Rock Trail; you'll come across a pretty lake called Mildred Lakes. Really great skiing awaits you at Squaw Valley; Bear Creek Campground is a great campground nearby. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork. Little Needle Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through the month of January you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is July. So many enjoyable things in close proximity to Little Needle Lake, truly impressive.
