You could also visit Peanut Lake while you're here at Little Meysan Lake; it's nearby; if you need a location to stay Best Western Frontier Motel is a brilliant choice. That right there is a heap of amusing things already but it goes on, the Southern Sierra Nevada has it all. If you're here, you might as well go to Whitney Portal, and hiking is a popular thing to do around       Little Meysan Lake; Mount Whitney Trail is a good local trail. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Little Meysan Lake. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 50's; nighttime lows at Little Meysan Lake throughout the wintertime generally sink into the 20's. Take a side trip to Meysan Creek; why not take a refreshing hike along the Pat Keyes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Little Meysan                  Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Symmes Creek Campground is a great site to camp nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Lone Pine. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Bighorn Park is a glorious location to check out, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kern River. At Little Meysan Lake you don’t see much precipitation; during January this area sees the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. At Little Meysan Lake you can make out Mount Corcoran; Tuttle Creek Campground is a great campground nearby. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Little Meysan Lake.
