At Little Last Chance Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the month with most of the snow is January while July is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Walton's Grizzly Lodge is always a wonderful experience, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a       hike along the Cottonwood Botanical Trail. High temperatures at Little Last Chance Lake throughout the months of summer are in the 80's; the nighttime is quite cooler of course, commonly in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are mostly in the 40's with temperatures at Little Last Chance Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. A brilliant place to camp here at Little Last Chance Lake is Sleepy Hollow RV Park, as expected you could also                  visit Grizzly Ice Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. Getting to East Channel Little Last Chance Creek from Little Last Chance Lake is easy, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Cottonwood Fisherman Trail. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. So much cool stuff to do at Little Last Chance Lake, so little time. After a long day outdoors Chalet View Lodge is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and Little Last Chance Lake is not the only place close by, Palen Reservoir is a close by lake.
