So many exciting things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too tremendous to be true. Camping is available at Packsaddle Campground, and lakes are such peaceful locations, why not go to Oakland Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Lavezzola Creek offers some glorious whitewater; glide down the rapids of Yuba River - North Fork in a kayak. This lake       is so wonderful. There is a delightful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Little Deer Lake called the Deer Lake Trail, and a pleasant trip to Hawley Meadow is a splendid way to spend an afternoon. For the period of the warm months at Little Deer Lake highs are mostly in the 90's while night lows are regularly in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Little                  Deer Lake dip into the 20's. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do close to Little Deer Lake. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Graeagle Meadows Golf Course is close at hand, and if you need a place to stay Chalet View Lodge is a tremendous choice. An average amount of rain falls at Little Deer Lake; the month with most of the rain is January while July is mostly the driest month. Man, is there plenty of fun things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. On a magnificent day at Little Deer Lake you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Royal Gorge since you're here. Little Deer Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Near Little Deer Lake you come across the Butcher Ranch Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Berger Campground is a delightful place to camp.
