Beautiful Little Castle Lake has much to offer visitors. Through the summer highs here at Little Castle Lake reach the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Little Castle Lake are in the 20's. Sacramento River is a nice whitewater spot near Little Castle Lake; dry warm beds await you at A-1 Choice Inn. you could also have a look at gorgeous Heart Lake, and a great location to camp here at Little Castle Lake is Castle Lake Campground. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Little Castle Lake; Echo Lake Trail is a great local trail,
and Castle Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Crags Trail. The slopes of Mount Shasta are so inviting nobody can resist; camping is available at Lake Siskiyou
Camp Resort. A delightful site for whitewater paddling near Little Castle Lake is Sacramento River, and folks from Redding love to come here.
