Lion Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. You simply have to like the Northern Sierra Nevada. Bear Lake is a nice lake in the vicinity of Lion Lake; no need to travel far to have a look at attention-grabbing stuff like Bloods Point. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Mokelumne River - North Fork, and a brilliant site to stop at nearby is Corral Gulch. Some close by water includes Bear Creek,

| | and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Kirkwood. Lion Lake is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Overflow Campground is a delightful place to camp nearby, and Stanislaus River Campground is a wonderful campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Lion Lake, for example Mud Lake; get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Stanislaus River - Middle Fork. is a very popular ski area close at hand. For the period of the warm months, highs mostly are in the 60's at Lion Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets
highs in the 30's with temperatures at Lion Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Lion Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of rain; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July
on the other hand is the driest. Lion Lake in fact is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. The Burnside Lake Trail is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Lion Lake, and if the weather is gorgeous, you get a brilliant
panorama of Sapps Hill from Lion Lake. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If the weather is good here at Lion Lake, you can go for a hike along the Charity Valley Trail, and Bloods Meadow is a gorgeous place any time of year. Lion Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
