close to Lily Lake is a good idea, and dry warm beds await you at Heidelberg Inn. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Very charming scenery and good skiing is what you get at June Mountain; while you're here you can take a hike
along the John Muir Trail - section 2. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sierra Summit while you're here. Paddling on San Joaquin River - Middle Fork is so much fun, and Lost Lake is a great lake close by.
The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Just can't get enough of the Central Sierra Nevada. Granite Creek Campground is a perfect campground nearby, and the Mammoth Rock Trail is a glorious hiking trail nearby. Get drenched paddling on San Joaquin River, and Bugg Meadow is right here at Lily Lake.
