The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. For the duration of the months of summer here at Leland Lakes, high temperatures generally reach the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Leland Lakes drop into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.       Phipps Creek is in close proximity to Leland Lakes and is always a bliss to check out, and camping is available at Eagle Falls Campground. A brilliant close by hotel is Pine Cone Acre Motel, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork. Leland Lakes gets a common amount of annual precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month.                  This lake is so wonderful. Pepper Tree Inn is a good place to get some rest, and camping at Pleasant Boat-In Campground is always a good experience. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more fun things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A fine site for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Leland Lakes is American River - South Fork, and going for a hike along the Red Peak Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. And if that's not sufficient there's plenty more amusing stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If the weather is nice here at Leland Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Highland Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Lake Schmidell. Be careful coming to Leland Lakes, you might not ever want to go home again. The General Creek Trail is a good hiking trail right next door to Leland Lakes; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Homewood. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Leland Lakes. Leland Lakes is in a glorious location in the shadow of the Crystal Range; on a lovely day you obtain a splendid vista of Crystal Range from Leland Lakes.
