It's always fun to stop by Legg Lake. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn South El Monte is a nice site to spend a night or two, and if you haven’t been to Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, you must schedule some time for it if you're here. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Whittier Narrows Reservoir, and why not pop by Whittier Narrows Dam if you're here. Not much precipitation falls here at Legg Lake; throughout February this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is July. Gabriel Valley, and why not camp at Whittier East Mobile Home Park if you're here at Legg Lake.
For the period of the months of summer highs here at Legg Lake reach the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. All through
the wintertime highs are generally in the 60's; nighttime lows in the 40's for Legg Lake. The skiing at Mt Waterman is good, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Mount Wilson Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A fine
place to camp here at Legg Lake is Bicentennial Park Campground; while you're here you can take a hike along the Winter Creek Trail.
If you're a golfer then a great close by course is River Ridge Golf Course, and Ramada Inn & Suites is a fine place to get some rest.
